Stylized Shoots & Inspiration Boards

In'Vogue Photo is no longer accepting sessions that do not involve stylized shooting.

What is stylized shooting, you may ask. Well, to put it simple, it is a session that is designed specifically to look like it has come from a magazine, or movie. The sky is the limit for what is included in your stylized shoot. From hiking to biking, to dining and shopping, it does not matter.

Any session can be stylized! It involves quite a bit of communication between you, the client, and myself to get the session nailed down, the props finalized and the location. Location is key for a stylized shoot. In'Vogue is starting out the stylizing next month with some super fun sessions that are already in the works! Worried about props, and don't know a direction you want to go in for your shoot? Not a problem! That is where the wonderful inspiration board making site, Olioboard, comes in. In'Vogue is also pairing up with some local antique/resale shops to borrow props, so really... the sky IS the limit!

Here are some examples of sessions that are in the works, and what Olioboard is doing to help us communicate an idea.

The first board. Cici came to me for her engagement session and she didn't have any ideas besides some details that are incorporated into their wedding. She informed me that she loves everything vintage, but she had no idea. I went to work and assembled this board with some of her ideas and sent it over. I am sure there will be some edits to this as we get the ball rolling, but for now... These ideas make me giddy, and makes me want to run right out and shoot this session!

This second board, Ashley assembled her idea and sent it over. From there In'Vogue was able to spin off of it and add in some items that would fit in well with what she was trying to do. Their wedding is not until 2012 but their engagement session is this year, so we got right to it and I can say that I am super duper excited to be shooting with them. Her ideas come across loud and clear and right now we are all set for the session. Wardrobe will be next!

So, if you are into stylized shooting, and want some super awesome art with you as the main focus to hang on your walls. Shoot me an email! I would love to work with you! If you are not into stylized shooting, I can refer you to some other local photographers that would rock your world!
